Crystal Lane is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Connecticut and Michigan. She is a National Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture with the National Certification Commision for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She graduated with the degree of Master of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Studies, and Bachelor of Health Science from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida in 2021.

Prior to her career in Acupuncture she worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the states of Michigan, Georgia, and Florida. Crystal fell in love with Bodywork after a strenuous career in Social Work. Through her career in Social Work alongside her background studies in Counseling Psychology she began to realize change needed to happen on a physical level. Change is almost always hard for individuals and Crystal realized the growth that needed to happen was often impeded from energy stuck in the body. She decided to leave her career in Social Work to pursue Bodywork to help people free blockages physically so they can move forward. Therapeutic Massage was an excellent modality to bring about these changes, but Crystal found her real passion in Acupuncture. She discovered that the alchemy of the needles used in Acupuncture work on such a deep level to not only relieve pain and symptoms, but to also bring about real, lasting change.

In her practice she works with the Five Element tradition to see each person in their unique strengths and character. They can become so clouded by imbalance or illness that the person can lose sight of who they truly are. Crystal listens with her heart to hear her clients’ story as well as listening to their pulses (the 12 meridian pathways in Acupuncture) to make the perfect individualized treatment plan. Her method is to treat the root of the imbalance rather than chasing symptoms. The Five Element tradition provides a truly holistic system of medicine by addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments together in every treatment.

Crystal has helped clients with a number of ailments including, anxiety and depression, arthritis and pain, digestive disorders, fibromyalgia, insomnia, headaches and migraines, infertility and menstrual disorders, skin conditions, effects of chemotherapy and radiation, and more. Chances are that whatever ails you Acupuncture can help with.

In her spare time Crystal loves spending time with her family including her fiancé, stepdaughter, parents, brothers, nieces, and her large in-law Polish family. She has two cats named Ming and Monaghan that she spoils way too much. She loves swimming, hiking, ceremony, meditation, traveling, adventures, and getting cozy with a good movie or show. She loves to laugh. One of her passions in life is to help remind people that even though things can be dark and dreary there is always a glimmer of light shining through. Gratitude for the simple things in life we take for granted helps give perspective.

Dr. Samantha Prashad, DACM, L.Ac completed her Bachelor’s degree at Cornell University in 2017. As a premedical student she realized that the Western Medical model did not always get to the root cause of disease. She then decided to pursue a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, and graduated in 2020. After spending time on the West coast learning from some of the most skilled Eastern practitioners she ventured back to the East Coast to begin practicing.

She loves to use five element analysis to hone in on energetic, psycho-emotional and physiological imbalances in the body. She uses gentle needling techniques that are even tame enough for infants. Dr. Prashad combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with functional medicine to deliver individualized treatments. She helps to assess underlying nervous system stressors on a deep energetic level.

She uses biofield testing to determine what specific homeopathics, vitamins, minerals or herbs may be necessary to help patients reverse even the most debilitating conditions. Her approach uses whole food nutrition supplementation to help retrain the cells of the body to function more optimally in combination with acupuncture to address other imbalances focusing on a full mind, body and spirit integration to care.

In between her busy schedule she enjoys spending time either at the beach or on the mountain snowboarding with her lovely fiance Jeremy. She is compassionate and loves helping patients in as many ways as she can. She enjoys working on complex cases like Lyme Disease, Fertility Complications, ADHD, Cancer, and Autoimmune conditions.
